The Space Between

The Space Between is Ivan Lam’s most intimate exhibition to date. Comprising sixteen new paintings and works on paper, the show turns its attention to the small durations and quiet intervals of daily life — the pause before a word, the breath between actions, the moment of suspension that is neither here nor there. Working with oil, wax, and photographic transfers, Lam builds surfaces that hold time within them.
